Recap of Easter Weekend Part II

Afterwards, I went to church to prep for Sunday school and practice for song leading this Sunday.  I honestly did not feel prepared; I really did a bad job, but it's important to remember that the Spirit should be the true Song leader- and that praise is not to entertain others, but is purely for the glory of God.

Around 9pm, I dropped off some stuff at Bruce's house and Benny's house.  Benny finally got his Rogue Acoustic/Electric Concert-Size guitar!  It's pretty sweet- and for the price- amazing.  So I went home and basically did nothing.  The next day was Brian's wedding and it was surely something not to be forgotten!  From eating wasabi bread to wearing lipstick to doing sexy poses... details to come!

Recap of Easter Weekend Part I

I was glad to be back in the city this weekend as I was preparing for Easter Service, Baptism, and Jessica/Brian's wedding.

I came back around 7:00pm and ate some dinner at home.  I was watching this interesting Japanese movie called 'Battle Royale'  The plot was based around a group of teacher faculty that brought their students to a deserted island, and giving them a care package filled with weapons.

ops..brb
im getting kicked out...

Okay back- I was kicked out of Olson for doing something annoying- anyways

The movie was about a couple dozen of students forced to kill each other because only of them could survive.  The students unaware and confused at first, thought it was a joke when soon their friends had their necks blow off.  Soon it was every man for themselves and they were pitted against their wits.  It is a very sadistic movie, but I must admit, the movie caught my eye.  So each person is given a weapon, ranging from automatic shotguns, tasers, to pan lids (ha).  And people would be forced to kill one another.  Love interest appear and dissappear, people's true motives subsurfaced.  It was no longer, buddy buddy- but this was real.

I dont recommand the movie to minors, but it did deal with a lot of real life hypothetical.  In a world where people befriend others purely for benefits- it was a more realistic people of what people would do to each other if there were no restrictions.  In the movie you really see the human nature of people, from murdering heartlessly, to aiding one another- it really describes that human predicament that we are 'good monsters.'  I didn't finish the movie, but I really want to finish watching it.

On more plot base, it also had some humor, but overall it was a very crude and sadistic movie with a lot of philosophy and blood.  I liked it though, maybe because I am crude and sadistic at times also.

Wrong side of the bed

Today was just not a good day.  First off, I did not get good sleep and I felt tired all day.  It seemed that everything annoyed me today.  Which was weird, because that made me feel crappy for not enjoying school when I know I should.
School has not been stressful yet, but for some reason I feel some odd tension to succeed and it's placing a lot of pressure on myself.  So I apologize to people if I didn't seem myself today.  I guess it's encouraging- because I know I'm far from perfect- and even 'Eric' has his moody and bad days- and boy was it bad.  It felt as if every cell in my body was aching from anger and moodiness.  I didn't feel like talking to anyone for doing anything, when I had soo much to do.  I felt as if a giant invisible wall was cramming me and my emotions in, trying to suffocate me.  I even felt really moody at the DC! (the DC!)  Thanks Maggie for the food... =|
Well please pray for me and my moodiness.  Today, I seriously felt like i was having a -male PMS- seriously.  If women have to deal with this every month, there's no way I could survive being female.  It's like the crappiest feeling in the world and everything annoys you.  How do you guys do it?
Anyways, back to studying and maybe I need to sleep early- and let this bad bad day be over.

Ma..ma..Monday!

There were a lot of activities this weekend, but on Saturday- Juniors had a potluck help at LAMJAM at 7.  There was tons of food as usual and lots of chicken!  My favorite dishes would be Caleb's Thousand Sauce and Jen's asian veges.  The deserts were quite awesome, yum cream puffs made by Joy!

Deliciousness, well afterwards we played a couple of games- to get to know each other, hopefully it was fun.  And yeh, I learned a new game which I can't wait to show everyone.  It's called 'The Naked Game' haha, but it's PG-wise it's know as 'Fishbowl'  I found this game very creative and fun.  I know every extrovert would dig it.

Sunday- Koinonia finally moved to their new building- at Harper Junior High Middle School.  It was very comfortable and the place was big!  Pastor Jonathan gave a message on - The church being a house of prayer instead of den of robbers.  We should not cheat God by our words, but our actions should be consistent to what we claim.  Very engaging- and oh boy was the food good!
Man- salad, marinated chicken, and rice- awwww yummy!

But today is Monday, I just got out of class and I'm at the computer lab at SciLec.  Some goals I made for myself this week- is to not watch any anime.  I spent a good 8-10 hours this weekend on anime.  Yeh, I know it's sad =(.  But now I gotta step it up especially since work is building up.  So I'll head over to library a.s.a.p and finish that homework set.

Excited:      This weekend for Jessica and Brian's evangelistic wedding- and combined worship and baptism this sunday.  I'll be there for sure to cheer you guys on!  = )
Continue to pray these events because I know a lot of difficulties arised lately.  Be faithful everyone and continue to pray.  I will do the same.

What I did yesterday

Yesterday was quite exciting, as I left Davis early morning to head down to San Jose and Santa Cruz with Koinonia.   I don't want to bore you with the exciting details, but we basically went to a Meat Buffet, called Palace BBQ Buffet- which is a restuarant with korean meats and meals.  I ate a lot and I really enjoyed it, but I think it was overkill- it just wasnt my type of restuarant.  Here you just eat meat  period.  You get the raw meat and you bbq it over a grill at your table.
I admit, there was lot (A LOT) of meat, but I would prefer more traditional eating sessions.  Though Korean food is super UMAI!

After leaving Palace, we went down to Santa Cruz and went to one of their beaches.  The beaches were an offshore distance from the boardwalk, so it was much more scenic and peaceful.  Though the time spent there was short, it was very peaceful and refreshing.  The ocean was so beautiful with the many shades of blue engulfing the world, as far as the eyes can see- along with the thousands of twinkles on every meter of the sea due to the reflection of the mighty sun.  How small we were compared to the majesty of the waves, as we ran and laughed.

Anyways, some of us raced on the sand- and that was fun.  Also beach volleyball is definately the best!  Ultimate frisbee can might close- that was great too.  All in all, I do enjoy davis the best.  I'm glad to be back.  I ended the night jamming with PWa for about two hours.  That probably was my highlight too, music is definately thee bomb diggity of all bombs.

Memorable moments:
The 15 minute run to the bathroom, which doesnt seem to get any closer.
1001 questions in Timothy's Car.  Soo fun!
Making songs with PWa (haha)
Watching baby Abby and Hannah hold hands on the beach!  SOOO

Songs at Heart:  Falling for the First Time - Barenaked Ladies
                                        (er.. kinda secular)
(not a staple band, but they have a couple of good songs)
